Core restaurant, worthy of being selected in the list of Ctrip Food Forest Restaurant, can really give five stars a full score, if you want to say that there is really any fly in the ointment, it is that the portion of the dish can be bigger.

It is not the best food in London and it is not even the best value food in London. However it is exceptionally reliable. I have been here about 15 times a year for the last five years and the food is incredibly good and consistent. The staff are friendly, yet attentive. The atmosphere always brilliant, not however somewhere you want to go for a quiet conversation. They have actually taken the time to find seriously good mixes of music which changes all the time, like their menu. Old favourites remain but they change others every few months. Rueben Sandwich is fantastic as is the Steak Tatare and House Malbec. Sad that the Diner Club scheme is ending but even at full price it is a wonderful gem in London which I have lost many hundred hours of my life to. If you can get a table outside, it is a great place to have breakfast and watch Portobello Road walk by.

My husband and I just arrived in London this morning - we were exhausted and starving by 6 p.m. Osteria Basilico sounded interesting and looked charming. We were the first customers to arrive at the restaurant. Immediately, the magic began. The warmth of the staff and old world atmosphere revived us. Customers soon poured in while we devoured our delicious avocado salad and warm bread. We both ordered the specials for our entrees ( veal and prawns) - out of this world! We topped off the meal with coffee and raspberry cheesecake that melted in our mouths. This set the perfect tone for the beginning of our vacation. Thank you, Osteria Basilico! We will be back.

The service is super friendly and recognized us even though it was just our 2nd time there. The food tastes awesome and has a good price value. Next time in London i&lsquo;m gonna come back here for breakfast surely

Marvellous restaurant. Staff are very attentive and the food is sublime. I urge anyone who enjoys culinary excellence to try this place out.I could breakdown each dish but there is little point in doing so as this this just needs to be experienced.
